QForm Seminar for steel pipes manufacturing and aluminium products companies was held on May 29 during metal forming exhibition “Metalloobrabotka 2019” in Moscow

On May 29, QForm seminar was held during the exhibition “Metalloobrabotka 2019” in Moscow, Russia. The seminar was dedicated to new QForm 9 and its new features and possibilities. Yuri Gladkov, managing director, and Paul Mordvintsev, leading manager, QuantorForm Ltd., QForm Group, have shown presentations about QForm software and its possibilities for simulation of various metal forming processes, heat treatment and prediction of microstructure evolution, as well as introduced the new QForm 9. Danila Avramenko, engineer of technical support, QForm Group, made a presentation “Possibilities of new QForm version for simulation of cross-roll piercing and shape rolling processes”.

Besides presentations of QForm Group specialists, reports were made by representatives of steel pipes manufacturing and aluminium products companies using QForm software. Presentation “Results of simulation of cross-roll piercing process at “PNTZ” was made by Shamilov Albert and Iskhakov Ruslan. Evgeniy Khramkov, head of laboratory of metal forming processes simulation, told about experience of using QForm at “RosNITI”. Also, Anton Legkikh, Ph.D., project manager of RUSAL, made a report “Experience of using QForm at ILMiT OK RUSAL for development of new aluminium alloys”.
