18th ADA user's conference on 7 July 2017 in Tokyo, Japan
At July 7 18th ADA user's conference 2017 took place in Tokyo, Japan. The event is organized by Applied Design Analysis Corporation (ADA), QForm representative in Japan. 4th year in a row our company is invited to be one of speakers at this important event.
Stanislav KanevskiyThis time Stanislav Kanevskiy has presented two reports about QForm software.
One report was about new features of QForm VX and RingRolling and new simulation examples of interesting ring rolling processes from our customers around the world. Example of ring rolling from Kaltek, Korea attracted the biggest attention due to very specific technological process which can be simulated only in the new version of QForm RingRolling software due to new unique developments.
The second report was about new developments in QForm Extrusion and QExDD. Especially new whole billet length simulation task was considered based on the last ICEB 2017 test where the defect in the profile was detected thanks to this new type of simulation. And one interesting analysis of extrusion technology with big die deflections was shown where material changes flowing direction due to huge deflection in axial and lateral directions.
Additionally, Dr. Michihiko Hoshino, professor from Nihon University has shown continuation of his research work about conformed extrusion technology. And this year one more our scientific partner has participated in this event with his work about «Development of forging components and CAE related to advanced forging technology in Japan and overseas». The work was presented by Dr. Yukihiro Isokawa from Daido University.
