«Open die forging simulation»
This webinar is intended for metal forming engineers who use QForm or are considering using QForm simulation software. Our technical experts will demonstrate special QForm features for setting up multi-blow forging processes. You will learn how to set up and run an ingot cogging simulation and specify an ingot rotation and movement between blows using a model of forging manipulator.
The webinar will address the following fundamental issues:
- Stress-strain state calculation and prediction of material flow through the whole billet volume during the execution of multi-blow forging operations
- Prediction of structure quality after forging of the cast billet and estimation of surface and inner defects
- Finding optimal shapes of forging tools
- Finding optimal forging regimes: heating, rotation and axial movement between blows
- Developing processes and determining requirements of heating between operations
- How to find and analyze metal flow defects in QForm
- Forging ratio and material workout prediction
- New capabilities of QForm 10 version
