The tradefair wire is the worldwide meeting point and leading event for everyone who produces or processes wire. Steelmakers, copper and aluminium (and other materials) producers, wire rollers, wire drawing industry, cold forging (fasterners, springs, etc) are on site in order to soak up the latest developments in the industry. One of the exciting developments in the industry is the possibility to use finite element simulation on a day to day basis in the manufacturing industry. Our distributor in Germany, prosimalys, will give presentations about wire and profile drawing and rolling simulations which can be undertaken with minimal initial training by process designers in the industry. The simulation enables to gather a much deeper understanding of the processes and the resulting material properties and is the basis for a successful optimization of the production.
