The 2026 season of the International Students Olympiad on Metal Forming Processes has begun

The prize fund is €5,000.
Since 2014, our team has been organizing the International Students Olympiad on Metal Forming Processes. Each year, the Olympiad brings together participants from more than 15 countries, over 40 universities, and around 150 students.
The Olympiad project continues to grow, and we warmly invite you and your students to join and support this initiative.

Deadlines
- January: A confirmation email of participation to [email protected] with a contact person for coordination
- February: Competition entry from universities (including request for QForm license if needed)
- March: List with applicant students
- May: Recommended date of the Olympiad at universities
If your education cycle does not meet our deadline requirements - ask us for special period and attend the Olympiad!
Each university conducts the national stage of the Olympiad on-site on the appointed date. The best student works are forwarded to the International Scientific Committee.
The Olympiad is organized into the following sections:
- Hot Bulk Metal Forming (Forging)
- Aluminum Extrusion
- Shape Rolling
- Sheet Metal Forming
Each participant may compete in only one section.
Preparation Support
To support participants, we provide:
- Free online training courses (held in February–March; the schedule will be announced later)
- Methodological and educational materials
- Reports and assignments from previous years
- Free QForm academic license
Call for Sponsors
We are looking for sponsors and open for cooperation with educational and industrial partners in the following:
- Development of Olympiad tasks (hot forging, rolling, aluminum extrusion, sheet metal forming)
- Advertisement, information support and promotion
- Joint publications on websites and social media, and placing the logo on Olympiad marketing materials
The Olympiad is an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills and talents, and for companies to identify motivated and promising specialists.
