2015: New QForm V8 is further development of the simulation software.

QForm 7 has proved its advantages as a new approach to development of advanced metal forming simulation software. It includes a completely new interface, data structure and algorithms written with the most modern programming techniques that allow far more power and flexibility than previous versions of our QForm program and other software products in the market.

The new program QForm V8 runs even faster than QForm 7, has more simualtion options and amazing new features for analysis of results.

New models and methods:

  1. Ring rolling model as a dedicated feature of the program that is based on new computational methods and has a specialised interface.
  2. Dual mesh method that is now available for different kinds of processes including rolling, cogging etc.
  3. Client-server and cloud modes of program operation
  4. Advanced facilities for simulating with elastic-visco-plastic material model including load controlled tools and rotating billet like in flow forming
  5. Task planer and batch mode
  6. More advanced parallelisation of calculations that increases the simulation speed

With more than 20 years of experience in forging simulation software, we have released a completely new product called QForm 7 designed from the ground up to meet the requirements of the most demanding users in the industry and research. It builds on the famous ease-of-use of the previous versions of QForm but now allows for simulation of the most complex problems. Extended features and functionality include thermally and mechanically coupled simulations that even can be coupled with deformation of a whole press structure!
