DATE: 20-24 September 2026

VENUE: Darmstadt, Germany

In September 2026, ICFG International Cold Forging Group meeting will take place in Darmstadt, Germany. The meeting week will be filled with a plenary session, workgroup sessions, cold forging plant visits and a workshop. The workshop is directed at researchers, students and industrial members of the cold forging world. This years workshop will contain two parts. In the first part, reverse identification of process parameters like flow stress and friction on the basis of real life forging processes will be discussed in depth. In this part, Dr.-Ing. H.-W. Raedt will give a presentation about a framework which was recently developed by the QForm UK Team, with which input parameters for a simulation can be identified from practical tests. The second part of the workshop will deal with ductile fracture. Here, participants will analyse different forging processes and different ductile damage criteria – in a hands-on-style in live simulations with QForm UK Cloud on their laptops. The ICFG meeting is only available to members, but the workshop is open to any person interested.
