Information from the organizers:
We have decided to use this year's break in the WPC industry conference series and organize a new conference format on October 14, 2026, at the Faculty of Non-Ferrous Metals of AGH University in Krakow — a one-day Smart AluExtrusion 2026 Symposium (free admission, no conference fee): Modern Structures/3D Printing/Modeling — dedicated to researchers from across Poland. The conference will be co-organized by 3 national universities on a rotating basis every 2 years: AGH Krakow, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, and Czestochowa University of Technology. The Symposium will focus on key current issues in aluminum extrusion: Structures (modern architecture based on aluminum alloys, devices, tools), 3D Printing (printing tools, coatings, laser cladding), Modeling (Gleeble, plastometry tests, material models for FEA). The main goal of the Symposium is to integrate the scientific community around advanced metal and alloy extrusion technologies, present the latest research results from Teams, and potentially develop joint solutions, grant ideas, patents, or publications. This year, the title sponsor is Aluprof, Poland's largest leading producer of aluminum systems for modern construction. Event partners include: Aliplast Extrusion, Exlabesa, Final, QForm, Vitrintec, Extremum, and Fortify. The event has received patronage from the Polish Aluminum Association. The introductory lecture on trends in modern aluminum-based architecture will be delivered by Aluprof's Architectural Systems Product Director, Michał Marcinowski. As part of international cooperation, a lecture on numerical FEA modeling of die cooling will be given by Professor Lorenzo Donati from the University of Bologna.
