CBM Mini Fastener Manufacturing Expo 2025

Nikolay Biba participated in the CBM Mini Fastener Manufacturing Expo 2025, which took place on October 15 in West Bromwich, UK.
Organised by the Confederation of British Metalforming (CBM), this specialist event is dedicated to the fastener industry and brings together manufacturers, suppliers, and industry leaders for a focused day of networking, knowledge sharing, and innovation.

At the event, Nikolay Biba presented our solutions for cold forming.

To simulate cold forming processes accurately, it is essential to use rheological models of materials that have been tested at cold forming temperatures (generally between 20°C and 400°C).
To evaluate fracture defects in cold forming simulations, QForm UK allows the implementation of various fracture criteria, including Cockcroft–Latham, V.L. Kolmogorov, Wierzbicki, Del, Johnson & Cook, McClintock, Rice & Tracy, V.A. Ogorodnikov, and Yu.G. Kalpin.

It is also very important to account for the elastic deformation of the tooling in cold forming processes, as it has a significant influence on the final shape of the forged part.
